Product Overview

A simpler way to stay on top of your day

My Daily Buddy is a daily wellness and routine tracker for the basics that are easiest to lose track of on a busy day: water, movement, and the small routines you meant to keep. It brings them into one place rather than spreading them across four apps that each want their own attention, and it does that without turning every habit into another notification to dismiss. Logs persist rather than resetting each morning, so a good stretch — or a bad one — becomes something you can actually see over weeks instead of guessing at. The aim is a record you check because it is useful, not an app that nags you into opening it and then gets uninstalled a fortnight later.

My Daily Buddy features planned for the first release

Nothing here has shipped yet. This is what the first release of My Daily Buddy is being built to do, described plainly enough to check against what you actually need.

Water intake tracking

Log a glass in one tap and see the day's total without arithmetic. Hydration is the habit people most often intend to track and most often stop tracking, so the interaction is kept to a single tap.

Step and activity tracking

A daily movement count kept alongside everything else you are logging, rather than stranded in a separate fitness app you open only when you remember it exists.

Daily routine logs

Define the handful of routines that matter to your day — medication, reading, a walk, an early night — and tick them off in one list instead of keeping the score in your head.

Streaks and weekly history

Progress carries across days rather than resetting each morning, so a good run is visible and a bad week is honest. The history is the point; the streak is only the shorthand.

Personal wellness records

A private log of the daily basics you have chosen to track, kept in one place so it is reviewable over weeks rather than scattered across notes, screenshots and memory.

Notification-light by design

There is no plan for a stream of reminders. Reminder-heavy apps train you to dismiss them, and a dismissed notification is worse than no notification because it teaches the habit of ignoring the app.

Who it's for

Who My Daily Buddy is being built for

The specific situations My Daily Buddy is designed around — worth checking against your own before the first release lands.

People juggling several small routines

Water, movement and a handful of daily habits tracked together, instead of spread across four separate apps that each want their own attention, their own streak and their own notification budget.

Anyone worn down by reminder apps

The goal is a record you check when you want it, not a stream of notifications that trains you to dismiss the app entirely and then uninstall it a fortnight later.

People who want progress over weeks

Logs persist rather than resetting each morning, so a good stretch — or a bad one — is something you can actually look at and reason about, rather than a number that vanishes at midnight.

FAQ

Questions about My Daily Buddy

What people ask about a product that has not shipped yet — what it does, what it deliberately does not, and where it runs.

Is My Daily Buddy available to download yet?

Not yet. It is in active development, and this page lists the capabilities planned for its first release rather than shipped features. Release details will appear here before they appear anywhere else.

Will it send constant reminders and notifications?

That is explicitly not the design. The intent is a place to log and review daily routines, not another app competing for attention through the notification tray. Reminder-heavy habit apps reliably teach people to swipe the notification away without reading it, at which point the app has made itself useless.

Does it replace a fitness tracker or health app?

No. It is aimed at the ordinary daily basics — water, movement, routines — rather than detailed fitness metrics, training plans, or anything that belongs with a clinician. If you want heart-rate zones and VO2 estimates, a dedicated fitness platform is the right tool and this is not trying to be one.

Can I choose which habits to track?

Yes — that is the intended model. Water and movement are the common starting points, but the routine list is meant to be yours, because a habit tracker built around somebody else's routine is one more thing to feel guilty about rather than a useful record.

Does My Daily Buddy need an account or an internet connection?

The daily log is personal data about your own routines, so the design leans towards keeping it on the device rather than requiring an account to use the basic tracking. The confirmed behaviour around accounts, sync and offline use is published on this page before release.

Which platform will My Daily Buddy run on?

Android first, in line with the rest of the Xolro product range. Daily logging is something people do on a phone throughout the day, so the mobile build is the priority rather than a desktop companion.
