Retail & POS software

Retail POS, Billing & Inventory Management Software

Xolro builds custom retail software: point-of-sale billing, GST invoicing, inventory, purchase orders, and customer loyalty for shops, showrooms, and multi-outlet businesses.

Ready-made billing software works well until a business needs something it was not designed for: variant-heavy stock, stock moving between outlets, a wholesale price list alongside retail, or an online store that has to share inventory with the counter. That is usually when owners start keeping a second spreadsheet — and when a custom system starts to pay for itself.

Who it's for

Who we build retail & pos software for

  • Retail shops and showrooms
  • Multi-outlet retail chains
  • Distributors and wholesale-retail businesses
  • Brands selling both in-store and online
The problem

Where the time and money go today

The operational problems retail & pos businesses most often bring software in to solve.

Stock counts nobody trusts

Sales, returns, and transfers are not recorded consistently, so the system says an item is in stock when the shelf is empty — or the reverse.

Slow billing at peak hours

A billing screen built for every business is slow for yours, and the queue at the counter is where customers decide not to come back.

Online and in-store stock out of sync

An online store and the physical counter keep separate stock, which leads to overselling and manual corrections every evening.

No picture of what actually sells

Without clean sales data by item, size, and outlet, reordering is based on gut feel and dead stock piles up.

What we build

Retail & POS software modules

A custom build includes only the modules you need, and can start with one and grow.

POS billing

Fast counter billing with barcode scanning, GST-compliant invoices, discounts, returns, and UPI, card, and cash payments.

Inventory & variants

Stock by item, size, colour, and batch, with low-stock alerts, stock-takes, and adjustments that leave an audit trail.

Multi-store & warehouse

Stock transfers between outlets and warehouses, outlet-level pricing, and a central view of stock everywhere.

Purchase orders & suppliers

Reorder suggestions from sales history, purchase orders, goods received against orders, and supplier ledgers.

Customers & loyalty

Customer profiles from billing, points and offers, and WhatsApp receipts that bring customers back.

E-commerce sync

One inventory shared between the counter and your online store or marketplace listings, updated as each sale happens.

Integrations we commonly build

  • UPI, card terminals, and payment gateways
  • GST e-invoicing and e-way bills
  • Tally and accounting software
  • Shopify and WooCommerce
  • Barcode scanners and label printers
  • WhatsApp Business and SMS
Before you build

What we plan for from day one

Billing must survive a bad connection

A counter cannot stop when the internet does. We design POS screens to keep billing offline and sync when the connection returns.

GST rules shape the data model

HSN codes, tax slabs, inter-state supply, and e-invoicing thresholds need to be built into how products and invoices are stored, not bolted on later.

Migrating stock data is a project of its own

Moving from an old billing tool means cleaning item masters and opening stock. We plan that migration explicitly so the new system starts with numbers people trust.

How we handle the data you share with us is set out in our DPDP data protection notice.

Our Process

Our software development process

Four stages take a requirement from first conversation to software your team uses daily — with something reviewable at the end of each one, so scope and cost never drift quietly.

01

Discovery

We map your workflows, users, and goals before any code is written, so the requirement is clear and the scope is realistic.

02

Planning

We turn those requirements into a technical plan, user flows, and interface designs you can review and correct before development starts.

03

Development

We build in reviewable stages, testing each release against the agreed requirements so you see working software early, not only at the end.

04

Support

We deploy, watch how the software is used in practice, and keep refining it as your volumes, team, and priorities change.

FAQ

Retail & POS software: common questions

What is retail POS software?

Retail POS (point-of-sale) software handles billing at the counter — scanning items, applying discounts and GST, taking payment, and printing or sending the invoice. Most retail POS systems also update inventory with each sale and feed sales reports.

Can the software generate GST invoices and e-invoices?

Yes. Invoices can carry HSN codes, the correct tax split for intra- and inter-state sales, and, where your turnover requires it, e-invoice generation through the GST e-invoicing system.

Will billing still work if the internet goes down?

It can. We build POS screens that continue billing offline and sync sales and stock to the central system once the connection is back.

Can you connect our store's stock with our online shop?

Yes. We can sync inventory with Shopify, WooCommerce, or a custom online store so both channels sell from the same stock and overselling stops.

Can it export data to Tally?

Yes. Sales, purchases, and receipts can be exported or synced to Tally so your accountant keeps working in the tool they already use.
